Rayaku rayamu jua

Minnal Aidil wal faizin!

Happy eid day!

As usual when the Eid is almost reached, Muslims around the world will make preparations at the end of Ramadan to celebrate the arrival of a precious day of Lebaran. In Malaysia, at this time Muslims will usually ready to return to their homes with their families. Just like my family. We will return home a few days before the upcoming arrival. Relatives gathered to help make final preparations, including cooking, decorating the house, ironing clothes and other.

The first feast...

This day starts at 6.00 am. Alhamdulillah, I just woke up from sleep the previous day. But, unfortunately, after I finished cleaning myself, I was not able to attend morning prayers, joined the congregation at the mosque of the village of my grandparents because it is too far to walk. I just praying at home. After that, I woken up my other relatives who are still sleeping to do the same preparation. After that, we pack and clean the house and have breakfast before going to the mosque together with other families using their transport to perform Eid prayers in congregation. After prayers and a sermon, it was the most exciting moment as when I was in school, the road to collect the money! My mother's siblings with their families sitting in the living room chair while and called the children line up to shake hands with the intention of forgiveness to each other and get eid's money. After that, we went out to visit the graves of my late grandmother and my late Tok Chik to donate al- Fateha to them. Next, we visited relatives near the village until nearly night.

On the second day of raya...

There is nothing special. The routine is almost the same day as the previous Eid's day, our family went to visit an open house next to my father's cousin in Medan Gopeng, Ipoh. In the afternoon, our family was invited by  my mother's schoolmates to attend the "naik buai" feast. After back to home, at the time of the evening, my brothers and I went to a nearby forest to collect a firewood to be used as a fuel for cooking "lemang" on the next day.

The third feast...

Today is the culmination. Upon completion of the obligatory prayers at dawn, my family and I prepare and pack the house. While my uncle went to burn firewood to make as a fuel material of "lemang" at the home page. Lemang completed filled with glutinous rice and other ingredients neatly arranged in a fuel.
